Conditions for cancelling the reservation

Giving up the voyage

Should the passenger cancel the package tour the ship Borna shall be entitled to retain the following amounts from the total package price:

  • up to 30 days before departure 50% of the package price
  • from 29 to 15 days before departure 80% of the package price
  • from 14 to 0 days before departure 100% of the package price

The above cancellation expenses shall also apply to change of departure date, change of a cabin type or to any other substantial change respectively. If the passenger giving up the voyage finds another person to use the said reservation instead, the ship Borna shall charge the costs caused by such change only.

Notification on giving up or change, if obtainable, should be submitted by the passenger to the ship Borna in a written form (e-mail, fax message). The change means change of number or names of persons, or a date on which use of cruising services shall begin all this to be notified not later than 30 days before utilization of services begins. The first change of reservation, provided that no extra costs incur shall be made free of charge. Any further change of reservation shall be charged at 15 EUR per change. In case that change of reservation is not possible and the passenger gives up the confirmed reservation for that reason, conditions for reservation cancellation as stated below shall apply. Change of accommodation on board and any other change made within 30 days before the reservation shall begin, as well as all those changes made during the reservation validity shall be considered as cancellation of reservation. For firmly confirmed reservations of cruising, the date of receipt of a written cancellation shall be the basis for charging the cancellation costs, as follows:

  • In case that a passenger gives up the accommodation services on vessel 30 days or more before the date of beginning to use the services, the ship Borna is entitled to retain 50% of the package price. If giving up occurs 29 to 15 days before the ship Borna puts out to sea, 80% of the package price shall be retained. When giving up takes place 14 to 0 days before the date of beginning to use services, the ship Borna shall be entitled to retain the complete amount paid.

Cancellation of reservation by the ship Borna

In case of insufficient registrations received, the ship Borna reserves the right to cancel the cruising but not later than 3 days before the voyage starts. The least number of passengers necessary to take a single voyage is stated separately on each cruising program/package. The ship Borna reserves the right to change the cruising program, either completely or partially, subject to unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances.

The ship Borna shall reserve the right to change the cruising routes, date or hour of leaving the port in case of bad weather conditions or any other unforeseen or unavoidable occurrences such as insecure situation in the country, storm or adverse weather conditions without paying damages and in conformity with regulations of International Traffic in force. Should the ship Borna cancel the cruising the passengers shall be entitled to remuneration of the amount paid in the whole.
