Description

At depth of 42 meters there is a nameless merchant ship. During the history the ship has changed owners and flags for several times so that her last name cannot be established with absolute certainty. The ship was built up in 19th century by a British shipyard and is equipped with marine engines of John Gilmoure type so she was temporary named after it. According to some written figures John Gilmoure is considered to be one of the first ships that got sunken in this territory in the beginning of World War I, because of hitting against an underwater mine, as alleged. The ship is completely sunken, well preserved and entering the wreck is possible. Owing to richness of flora and fauna you shall get an impression of swimming in an aquarium while all around you there is a great blank space. The mystery of the ship’ name would probably never be solved unless the efforts of some wreck hunter come to fruition.

Note

Mainly good visibility and weak streams.
