Description

A 60 meters long cargo ship Tihany was owned by a Croatian-Hungarian company. She got sunken in 1914, driven aground by a strong storm at reefs in front of Island Unije. Fortunately all passengers were rescued. The ship lies at the bottom leaning by its side against a rock. The wreck is completely safe as all wooden parts got worn out thus leaving the wreck completely passable and enabling diving throughout its whole length. Amphora finds are close to it. It seems that some unlucky seaman has experienced similar misfortune as the Master of Tihany did, but some 1000 years before.
The location of the ship is close to the coast making the diving easier for the expert divers, whereas the lower categories of divers may have a look from close to the ship diving along the 20 meters long wall.
Note
The wreck is safe for diving as all wooden parts had got worn out.
