Description

Male Srakane is a 40 meters high and 1,5 kilometers long isle. It is situated close to Vele Srakane, an older sister, somewhat larger, half-way between Unije and Susak. At the depth of 9 m there is an entry to the cave. Underwater gap forming a passage some ten meters long becomes a space partly under water and partly filled up with air. An air cupola enabling penetration of sunbeams creates an indescribable mystic atmosphere. Inside the cave one can see various kinds of fish. Another passage takes you from the cupola but after 6 meters it ends with no-exit.
