Description

Diving is performed inside the cave, named Cathedral after enormous galleries illuminated by sunrays getting through a number of holes, and owing to gaps and cleft sticks in rocks enabling passing through. An entry to the cave is at depth of 30 m and the bottom is white and sandy. Very interesting position for diving is also a wall situated at the very beginning of the bay. It is full of multicolored undersea flora. You have a chance to see corals, sea grass and sponges of various colors and forms. A number of lobsters of various size and shoals have settled here. The place is really marvelous.

Note

Among others Premuda Island is known for the sunken ship Szent Istvan located some miles further to the open sea. This famous ship appertained to Teggethoff fleet under Austro-Hungarian navy. Teggethoff fleet was made up of 4 ships: Sz. Istvan, Prinz Eugen, Teggethoff and Viribus Unitis. The ship Szent Istvan is the only of them to survive.
