Description
Italian merchant ship that sank on 18.01.1915 while transporting cargo from Trieste to Tunisia. Due to stormy weather and strong north-eastern wind blowing over the North Adriatic, the Master had tried to seek refuge in the port of Pula but unfortunately the ship hit a mine destroying the bow and shortly after the ship sank. Nowadays the ship wreck may be seen at depth of 41 meters, partly dipped in the sand bottom. The wreck is 65 meters long. During diving you may enter the wreck throughout its length and it is safe and wide enough. Plenty of various fish living inside the wreck together with multicolored richness of flora and fauna will give you an unforgettable experience of underwater discovery. Owing to its beauty and safety the wreck Varese is the most popular one among the divers.
