General remarks for diving in Croatia
Diving in Croatia
We would like to draw your attention to the following: Diving is allowed in Croatia provided that the person possesses a valid Diving card issued by the Croatian Diving Union. Card validity is one year from the date of issue and is granted to divers possessing a valid Certificate issued by International Diving Union.
The following documents should be attached to the application form for gaining a diving card:
- evidence of diving qualification and
- passport or any other identification document
Areas where diving is forbidden
- In internal sea waters comprising ports, access to ports, port anchorages and in areas of heavy traffic.
- In strict and special sea nature reserves, national parks and other protested sea and undersea areas (Maloston Bay, the bay of Lim, Nature Park Telašćica).
- Close to anchored war ships and guarded military objects at the coast line less than 100 meters away.
- In National Parks Brijuni and Krka.
