Fishing in Croatia

Croatia is the best place in Europe for fishing. Here, in Adriatic sea, fresh-water lakes and rivers you will find different kinds of fish. Both the professional and the lovers can open something new for themselves.

Fishing in Croatia is possible only if you have a permit, which can be received in Croatian sports-fishing union or in the port management.

Permit is issued for 1, 3, 7 and 30 days:
1 day - 60 kuna + 50 kuna for the certificate
3 days - 150 kuna + 50 kuna for the certificate
7 days - 300 kuna + 50 kuna for the certificate
30 days - 700 kuna + 50 kuna for the certificate

From fishing tackles is allowed to have 2 different types of fishing rods, 2 fishing-lines or 2 guns for underwater fishing. The permitted maximum amount to fish is 5 kg.

It is necessary to obtain the permit for fishing on a tuna and fish-sword, which costs:
120 kuna for one day,
300 kuna for 3 days,
600 kuna for seven days
1500 kuna for 30 days.

Sport-fishing is permitted everywhere along the coasts. The exceptions are: national parks Brijuni, Kornaty, Mlet, Krk.
